This was a nice trip up about 400 to 500 feet. The day we went it was a bit windy so we got to go up on a test trip, just then two of us. Was great to see the mountains and all of the town.
It goes 400 feet in the air and stays up for about 5 minutes. It cost 17$ but you can find discounts in a discount book or go before 12 midday and it cost 12$ (or at the time we were there) A great view into the Smoky Mountains and around Pigeon Forge. Its a great photo op for those who like to take photos.
When it come to giving back to the community "WONDERS OF FLIGHT" BELIEVES IN HELPING! The have donated each year tickets for this attraction to be used as prizes for the ANGLE TREE IN EAST TENNESSEE. The proceeds are used to provide Christmas GIFTS for the children of rural Appalachia. The East Tennessee Corvette Club is proud to call them a friend!
We saw this from the Titanic museum and my husband wanted to go. We decided to come back the next day as once we checked into it we found that if you fly before Noon you can save $5 a person. We arrived the next day about 11:30am, bought our tickets and did not wait long before it was our turn for a ride. There were a half a dozen people on the trip and we took turns checking out the views from the different areas of the basket. It was amazing! We took a lot of pictures and had a wonderful time. We would do it again!
